Shelbi Barnhouse and Amy Kincaid Berry Join Amy Stewart PC

Amy Stewart PC is pleased to announce that Shelbi Barnhouse and Amy Kincaid Berry have joined the firm as Of Counsel.

Ms. Barnhouse, formerly a partner in Dallas’ Carrington Coleman Sloman & Blumenthal, has a commercial litigation background that includes employment matters, securities, securities fraud, breach of contract, defamation, RICO, shareholder derivative suits, bankruptcy, and other high-stakes litigation in state and federal court. Her experience in these areas brings valuable depth to the firm's insurance coverage litigation practice, particularly in matters involving directors and officers liability, professional liability, employment practices liability, and other specialty and management liability policies. Ms. Barnhouse earned her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law, graduating with honors in 2000.

Ms. Berry is an insurance coverage analyst, drawing upon many years of experience in a complex insurance litigation practice representing corporate policyholders. She has represented Fortune 500 clients in insurance coverage actions, including lawsuits arising from U.S. E.P.A. Superfund proceedings, and also has represented one of the nation’s largest insurance brokers in a wide variety of matters. She graduated with honors from Duke University School of Law in 1988.

“I’m so thrilled that Amy and Shelbi have decided to join us,” says firm founder Amy Elizabeth Stewart. “As our firm has grown, so has our need for lawyers of their caliber to handle the increasingly complex insurance coverage matters our clients bring us. Shelbi and Amy are outstanding lawyers and dedicated advocates for our clients, in court and out.”

Amy Stewart PC represents policyholders exclusively in disputes with their insurance companies. The firm regularly handles disputes involving the existence and scope of coverage under directors and officers liability, fiduciary liability, cyber liability, errors & omissions, professional liability, commercial general liability, commercial property, and commercial automobile policies.  For more information, visit
